Sarcoma is a general term used to describe a broad group of rare malignancies that develop in the body’s bone and connective tissue, such as fat, muscle, nerves, blood vessels, and the tissue that surrounds bones and joints. It is frequently referred to as the “forgotten cancer” because it comprises a very small percentage of all adult cancers.
