The Pharmacist and Oral Oncolytics

Conference Correspondent

R. Donald Harvey discusseses his role in managing patients on this medication class.

My role in managing patients on oral oncolytics is somewhat varied. We have mostly clinical trials patients in my center that I work with directly, but certainly getting patients access to oral oncolytics is important.

Thinking about which oral oncolytics are best for patients, because there are options now for many cancers, including myeloma, as well as solid tumors. I'm thinking about access to those oral oncolytics, thinking about pre‑authorization for that are all pretty important roles for pharmacists.
